Clinical Training & Oversight

Every healthcare professional we place undergoes extensive training, led by our Director of Nursing (DON), to ensure they are fully prepared for the school setting. We focus on building skills that support both routine care and complex health needs, covering:
- First Aid & Emergency Response
- Chronic Condition Management (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures)
- Medication Administration & Documentation
- Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP) Implementation
- Specialized Training for G-Tube, Catheterization, and Tracheostomy Care
- Toileting Assistance and Hygiene Support
Toileting & Diapering Training Topics include:
- Navigating various bathroom settings within schools
- Step-by-step instructions on how to provide hands-on toileting/diapering support for students 0-22 years old
- How to communicate appropriately with students
- Maintaining safety for both students and staff
- Addressing unique challenges such as: behaviors, skin breakdown, UTI considerations, and mandated reporting
- Policies and legal considerations

Before a healthcare professional is placed in a school, they undergo a rigorous vetting process to ensure they’re fully prepared for school-based care:
Clinical Skills Assessment + Medication Exam
Clinical Orientation and In-Person Trainings
Review of IEPs and FERPA
Post-Orientation and Training Assessment
1-to-1 Assignment-specific Training (including DM, trach/vent, seizures, G-tubes, etc.)
